Background and Education
Hey Mama!
My name is Samantha Darcy. I am a licensed and registered occupational therapist in the state of Arizona. When I was in school to become an occupational therapist, I wanted to work with children. I completed my fieldwork as an occupational therapy student in pediatric settings and I began my career after graduating in pediatrics. I never considered working with a different population….until…I became pregnant. After going through my own journey with healing my inner core and pelvic floor postpartum, I knew that my passion was to help other moms in their postpartum journeys.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love working with children, but their mamas need support too!
As a healthcare professional, I can help you heal your body using an individualized approach to get your body working for YOU!

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Occupational Therapy and how can it help me?
Occupational therapists use a "while body" approach to help people do the things that they want to do and need to do in everyday life. These activities can include showering, getting dressed, meal prep, child rearing, participating in work/education, and leisure activities. Occupational therapists use a client centered approach to considered your values and personal circumstances in assisting you to participate more fully in life.
2. What is concierge occupational therapy and why should I choose it?
When I say "concierge occupational therapy", I mean that I am here for you. I want you to make progress toward your health and wellness goals and I am here to serve you on that journey. By running a concierge service, I am able to give you more individualized attention and flexibility to answer questions and offer support as the need arises. It also gives us the opportunity to make a strong connection to work toward your goals together. This concierge service gives you direct access to me outside of our sessions, more flexibility with scheduling, and a more individualized approach to meet your unique needs.
3. Is this just another postpartum fitness program?
No, there are a lot of programs out there that claim to help you heal your core and pelvic floor after giving birth. The truth is that the pelvic floor is plays a complex and interconnected role with our muscular system. How your inner core and pelvic floor are functional in relation to other parts of your body is of vital importance when considering what exercises are appropriate for your recovery. Many of the postpartum fitness programs on the market do not take into account these individual differences and may have you participated in exercises that can worsen your symptoms and have you feeling defeated in reaching your goals. As an occupational therapist, I take the time to evaluate your individual patterns and circumstances to meet you where you are and help you make progress in a safe and achievable way. I also work with you to incorporate your exercises and recovery into your everyday routine in order to help you find consistency and improve your day to day function. With my background in pediatric occupational therapy, I also enjoy helping you find ways to incorporate your little one into your program to increase opportunities for bonding.
4. Do you take insurance?
No, my services are cash pay only. By not taking insurance, I do not have to guide my sessions to meet insurance requirements. That means I can more fully serve you and your needs and take the time with that you need to make progress toward your goals. That includes being available for you between sessions and being able to provide more individualized treatment for as long as you need. Many people often find that they spend less money in the long run because they meet their goals more quickly than they would in a traditional therapy setting due to the highly individualized approach that this allows for.
5. What can I expect during a session?
The program takes place 100% virtually on a HIPPA complaint telehealth platform. Communication takes place in a 2 way messaging system that is also fully HIPPA complaint. The program will begin with a complete history and intake to understand your unique needs and personal goals. As we are talking and getting to know each other, I will give you information about why I am asking certain questions and how that relates the human body. I do not want you to be a passive participant. YOU are the expert in YOU and I want to help empower you find more awareness in your body through this program.
